Christmas card for my father

Hi, again,
I have one more post today. Just finished a Christmas card for my father. When I thought about its design, I hit upon a good idea to take on two themes of Hero Arts December challenge Round 2.
Made the design to combine 'pocket card' with 'one of the sketches'. Wow, the card for my father was done, and I can join the challenge!

Here is the card.
The bottom half is a pocket. The method I used is stamping with distress inks and blending for the oval shaped area, and heat-embossing for the pocket area.

Here is a close up.

The reason I chose Starry Night stamp for this card is ...

The image of Starry Night stamp is very close to the scene of two holly trees that we family had.
- We had two holly trees beside the gate of our house. One was for my brother, and the other was for me. Oh yes, my parents bought those as each birthday trees. Though both trees were blew down by the typhoon hit, wind speed was over 40km/ps when my brother and I were high school student (15-16 years after those were planted, and grew over 5m in height), we have a wonderful memories that we enjoyed decorating or illuminating.-
Does my father remember our holly trees even now? Anyway, I put some money and a telephone card in the pocket, and I'm going to meet him tomorrow. Tomorrow is a national holiday in Japan.
