Thanks card & hello card

Hi, there!
This is the post of card making!

Just finished two cards to use paper piecing technique. I couldn't join the paperpiecing challenge at Hero Arts, maybe about a month ago.
I found this is so interesting!!! after I did this technique. :) I want to make some cards in the near future.

This is the result.

Made this card for my aunt, always think about me. I met her at my mother's ceremony last month. Yes, she's an elder sister of my mother.
I'm going to send this to her with a book and a bobbin lace bookmark which I'm now making.

And this is a closeup.

This is the first time to use this 'Flower Box' cling stamp.

And the other is to use vibrant colors for one of my Japanese virtual friends.
I usually have actual meet after we met on internet, and I have 52 friends - the half is the Japanese and the other half is the foreigners - in the world, we could have the opportunities.
She is really lovely lady and one of my good friend, but she has been sick already when we met about 6 years ago. We usually contact using e-mails or snail mails. I made this one to cheer her up.

I used the bird stamp- this is my favorite- with the cling 'Flower Box'.

- a thousand winds -

Hi,
This is really a personal blogging...
10 days ago,  two years has just passed since my mother passed away. I went the place my mother has been sleeping on the day by myself again. We, family and relatives held the memorial ceremony on Nov. 8th. - we usually hold it before the anniversary day in Japan.

I sometimes go there (her grave) by myself, when I want to talk with her. Of course, I know she is not there.
And I always remind of the song, 'a thousand winds'. My mother told me the Japanese lyrics of this song about a year before her death, despite I told her English lyrics approximately 20 years ago.

'a thousand winds'
- Author Unknown -

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumun's rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.

I has been spending sad days for a while. But I'm okay!
Thanks so much, my friends!

Christmas tree tags

Hi, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
I have a little bit post tonight.
It seems that the theme of Hero Arts' this week's challenge is making tag. - I just accessed their blog for the first time in about 3 weeks. I didn't make time for it and for peeking Frickr pool at all.
And, SO MANY THANKS and APOLOGIZE to you, the visitors and friends for your kind words and e-mails <3, despite I didn't update this blog at all.

The Christmas tree tags I intoroduce you today is not for HA challenge. (There's a tag I used HA sentiment stamp at the back side though.)
These had been creating since about two weeks ago, and I finally finished them recently and shipped to some of my friends with gift or thanks card.

Sorry, this is not a good photo. :(
Used the same stamp and made same layering, but I did them different materials for each. From the left, the vintage look (like Victorian), a little aged look, and the modern look. I changed the kind of inks, embelishments, and glittered glues for the receivers.
All the coloring for the trees is several Perfect Pearls. And then, I added the glittered glue on it.

supplies: Stampington Company stamp etc.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a beautiful day! :)

Hi, everyone!

So I tried to make them taking on Hero Arts 'simpleholiday' challenge, this week.

Well, I introduce you another design card. This would be the last design today, I've thought about a few similar designs in another colors and styles already though. I have no power to continue...

Here are the cards.

I also have got some inspirations from my previous card, '6" x 6" card - Season's Greetings'. Again, the Glass Baubles design! Ha.

6" x 6" card - Season's Greetings (Baubles)

Hi, evereyone!
Finished to make one more card! This was a big one and also for Hero Arts 'simpleholiday' challenge.
Actually, I had a small inspiration for this card when I made the bauble shaped slider cards in this early morning. So I tried it.

Here is my result.

Used the Elegant Brocade and the Antique Flower Background stamps like decoration patterns and a metallic part of the big bauble. The color of the suede tape is kahki green. So this has a little traditional Chiristmas colors.

Here is an another angle photo.
The center strip in a small bauble was a left over paper which the Antique Flower Background was stamped. And the vellum in a big bauble was also a scrap left.
I just diecutted the baubles and did distress inking, embossing, and layering. After that, I put some embelishiments or ribbonon, and two stitching lines on it. So it took me about in 20 minutes or so.

stamp used:
HA Design Block Antique Flower Background / S5264
